Day 23 Check in: Salad Days


Sleep: good (2:30-9:45, minor interruptions) 
Mood: sexy
Weight: 168.4
Body Fat: 22.3% 
Exercise: Light walking at work, 5km various hiking, carrying 20lb knapsack, bike riding
Stats: 76/12/12
Money Spent on Food: $11.75 on 1lb carrots, 2 heads of kale, 3lbs strawberries, sugar snap peas. 

Breakfast (11): 
-giant smoothie. I didn't eat right away when I woke up as I wasn't hungry, but I went from not hungry to ravenous like a switch flipped after I'd been up for a couple of hours. 

  • banana
  • pear
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 1 tangelo
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop Green Superfood. 
Midmorning snack (1)
-1 square Giddy Yoyo chocolate
-handful of raisins

Lunch (3)
-sprout salad
-coconut water
-prunes
-banana

Midafternoon snacks (5, 6, 7)

-sugarsnap peas
-baby carrots
-coconut water
-apple

Dinner (9:30)
-smoothie
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 scoop Progressive protein powder
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 banana

-pickles
-salad
  • spinach
  • red pepper
  • sprouts
  • cucumber
  • carrot
  • wasabi vinaigrette (RECIPE HERE)
-coconut nut cookie for dessert! 

after dinner snacks of some raisins. Mmmmm. 

overall my mood today has been great, nice and calm and productive all day. Clear headed and in a getting-things-done frame of mind. Not bad for someone who is so chronically uncaffeinated! 

I can eat salad for ever. I'm loving the oil-free dressings I'm making, too. So delish. 

I was going to make some kale (I just typed cake, thanks brain.) chips this evening but I'll have to start them tomorrow instead, alas. Kale chips for the weekend, woot woot!
