Day 25: My New Favourite Salsa Recipe!

Ok, one more. I whipped up a new salsa and it's by far my favourite so far. Here's what I did!

4 roma tomatoes
1 medium white onion
1T minced garlic
dash fresh ground black pepper
1-2 tsp lime juice
2 small red hot peppers or 2 tsp of your fave hot sauce.
pinch of himalayan salt.

Quarter the tomatoes and scoop out the interiors, putting the meat and skins into the food processor.
Peel and quarter and add the onion.
add the rest of the ingredients, and pulse in your food processor until the onion and tomato is in small pieces, and well mixed with the other ingredients.

optional: cilantro. If I'd had it, I would have put it in. MMmm, cilantro.

Day 25: My Milkshake Brings All The Boys to the Yard.

My baby was feeling a little down, so I made us milkshakes.

You will need:
-blender
-3 frozen bananas
-4 T raw sugar
-2 T raw cocoa powder
-2 cups almond milk
-raw vanilla pod, 1 inch worth

Step 1: TIME MACHINE.
Go back in time a few days and put 3 bananas into the freezer. You can keep them in their skins, it's easy to pop their skins off when they're frozen. The skins will turn brown, never fear, they are full of deliciousness still.

Step 2: RETURN TO PRESENT TIME
Cut the tips off the frozen bananas, cut them in half widthways and then half again long ways (carefully). You will be able to pop the skins off with a little wiggling. Pop the pieces in your blender.

Step 3: whisk the cocoa and sugar and vanilla in a measuring glass of 2 cups almond milk. Add this to the blender, and blend until thick and delicious! If you want it even thicker, add an un-frozen banana in chunks and blend again, thoroughly.

SO GOOOOOD.
